Network Security & Cloud Engineer - Amsterdam/Relocation to Amsterdam

For an international institution in Amsterdam, we are urgently looking for a Network Security & Cloud Engineer.

Candidates need to be living in/near Amsterdam or willing to relocate to Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required, but not provided. This position is long-term and open for contractors.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks (on-prem/cloud);
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment (L2/L3), including routers, switches, NAC appliances, and load balancers;
• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security;
• Arranging scheduled upgrades / Updating network-security equipment to the latest firmware releases (on-prem/cloud);
• Creating and maintaining system documentation;

Profile:

• Master or Bachelor Degree in IT or related field;
• +8 years of professional experience in the domain;
• Good knowledge and experience in load balancers/traffic managers (BIG-IP F5);
• Experience with network/security cloud solutions (Azure/AWS);
• Several years of experience in network/security engineering, including hands-on experience with advanced network/security technologies in complex Enterprise network infrastructure;
• Desirable certifications: F5-BIG IP certification, Azure/AWS, Cisco/Juniper/Checkpoint, certification in network/security;
• Fluent in English;
