Why does this role exist
We are seeking an innovative and motivated Junior AI-Enhanced Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with GPT-4 AI technology to develop, debug, and maintain high-quality web applications, while using AI to receive guidance and support. You will collaborate with other engineers on the team, but will heavily leverage GPT-4 type technologies in your role. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, have a strong understanding of full stack JavaScript technologies, and be comfortable leveraging advanced AI systems for improved efficiency and problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using full stack JavaScript technologies, including Node.js, Express, React, and Redux.


• Leverage GPT-4 AI technology as a mentor for guidance, support, and code review.


• Utilize AI to identify, diagnose, and resolve coding errors and performance bottlenecks.


• Collaborate with other engineers and AI systems to develop optimal solutions for complex problems.


• Implement AI-generated code snippets and algorithms into projects, ensuring they meet the required specifications.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and software development to continuously improve the development process.


• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our AI-driven development processes and tools.


• Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


• Background in working and interacting with existing AI APIs


• Programming skills (Javascript - preferably React, Next, Node)


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Able to make up to ~1-2 /hours per week available to work in Pacific Day time
