Protocol Architect (Remote)

Position Overview:

As a Protocol Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and developing a robust restaking protocol. Utilizing your experience in smart contract development, blockchain infrastructure, and DeFi, you will drive the creation of a protocol optimized for both performance and risk management. This role involves collaborating across teams and engaging with external partners to refine the protocol design based on real-world needs and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of the restaking protocol, focusing on maximizing yield while managing risk.
• Collaborate with backend and risk teams to develop a suite of risk analysis tools and structure APIs.
• Work closely with frontend teams to ensure protocol functionality is effectively integrated into user interfaces.
• Engage with external partners to understand their restaking requirements and iterate on protocol design.
• Utilize simulation tools and modeling frameworks to test protocol resilience and performance.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, and blockchain development frameworks like Foundry or Hardhat.
• Proven experience in designing blockchain-based protocols, particularly in DeFi or staking.
• Strong analytical skills with a strategic approach to optimizing protocol performance and minimizing risks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of economic security models and blockchain consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with DeFi protocols (e.g., AMMs, DEXs, lending platforms) and their risk profiles.
• Familiarity with blockchain security, cryptographic principles, and smart contract auditing.
• Knowledge of game theory, incentive mechanisms, and decentralized governance.
• Background in statistical modeling, machine learning, or data analysis for large datasets.
