Job Description

Business Development Director, North East Asia, European Cruise Operator, Fully Remote, $70-90k + 30% Bonus Incentive. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced travel industry, b2b sales specialist to join this European Cruise Operator where you will be responsible for growing and managing a network of GSA 's to drive sales of their product to the trade across the North East Asia Region. Please note that the successful applicant will be employed as an ongoing contractor due to the organisation not having a subsidiary in the Asia region.


Business Development Director Responsibilities


  • Achieving revenue growth from all available trade sales channels in North East Asia.
  • Appoint and manage a network of GSA's across the region, ensuring they achieve agreed booking volumes and KPI's.
  • Identifying any performance issues with GSA network and implementing any corrective actions through performance improvement plans.
  • Utilising Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate records of sales activity.
  • Where appropriate, participate in GSA partner events and represent the organisation at industry events and conferences.
  • Conduction informational webinars ensuring both GSA's and trade partners kept informed of any news, information or promotions.
  • Create and deliver the annual business plans.
  • Provide regular and reports to the wider business including weekly and monthly sales updates, marketing spend forecasts and planned calendar of activity.


Business Development Director Skills Required


  • Extensive knowledge of the North East Asian travel market.
  • Extensive b2b sales experience gained in the travel industry such as cruising or tour operating.
  • Knowledge of distributing packaged products.
  • Experience managing GSA's or sales teams.
  • Flexible to travel regularly across NE Asia and occasionally to Europe.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident in networking and presenting to groups.
  • Flexible to travel domestically and internationally.


Business Development Director Additional Details


  • A salary in the region of $70,000 - $90,000 (in equivalent local currency)
  • 30% annual bonus target paid quarterly
  • Due to not having a business subsidiary in Asia this role will be employed as a self employed contractor who will invoice monthly for the agreed salary.
