Altamira is seeking a Freelance AI/ML Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy machine learning models. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, lead experimentation strategies, and maintain high-performing models in production. Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements while documenting processes and driving continuous innovation.

Please note, that it's a full-time contract for a 1.5 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy machine learning models, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Lead experimentation strategies and maintain robust pipelines.
• Ensure optimal model performance in production environments.
• Document processes and stay updated on AI/ML advancements to drive innovation.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in specialized use cases like NLP, LLMs, or recommendation engines.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and mathematical foundations.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architecture, and agent-based systems.
• Prior experience with AWS Bedrock or similar cloud platforms.
• Proven track record in solving classification/regression tasks and deploying models.
• Expert-level Python skills and experience writing scalable software modules.
• Proficiency in Git and collaborative agile development workflows.
• Upper-intermediate level English proficiency.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS services (SageMaker, ECR, EMR, S3, Lambda).
• Practical experience with deep learning models in production.
• Experience building complex ML pipelines.
• Familiarity with distributed systems like Spark or Dask.
• Experience with data validation tools like Great Expectations.
