- Location: Fully remote, Central Europe Time Zone
- Start date: ASAP
- Languages: English is mandatory
- Administering 300+ SQL Server instances, predominantly with failover cluster architecture (2 and 4 node clusters), spanning versions 2005, 2008 R2, 2012, 2016, and 2019.
- Managing Azure SQL databases.
- Handling large databases (1TB, 2TB).
- Designing and implementing robust database backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Utilizing PowerShell scripting for automation, particularly around server deployments.
- Implementing and managing high availability solutions for MS SQL Server, including mirroring, replication, Always On, and failover clustering.
- Executing migrations between SQL Server versions (2005-2008 R2, 2008 R2-2016, 2012-2016).
- Managing SCOM.
- Creating comprehensive technical documentation for clients.
- Utilizing issue tracking systems like ServiceNow and ITSM.
- Extensive experience in SQL Server administration, including failover clustering and high availability solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Azure SQL database administration.
- Proven ability to manage large databases (1TB+).
- Expertise in database backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Experience in SQL Server migration projects.
- Familiarity with SCOM management.
- Excellent technical documentation skills.
- Experience with issue tracking systems (ServiceNow, ITSM).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in SQL Server administration and Azure.
- Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
