Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for an eager and highly adaptable product designer to join our growing merchandise department. In this role, you will be working closely with the head of product, brand managers, series creators, and senior designers to create 2D illustrations and designs that serve as the basis for our physical products and merchandise. As our content spans a wide variety of genres and styles, you will need to adapt to different art styles and product types; as well as have a deep understanding of different demographic interests and cultures, ranging from detailed genre artworks, cute stylized figurines, and intricate streetwear designs.

Your duties will include:

• The creation of 2D illustrations and designs to be used for retail products.
• Translating designs and artworks into technical drawings usable by manufacturers.
• Assisting the merchandise team in the ideation of new products.

A successful candidate will have:

• A high degree of skill in 2D illustration and design and an ability to adapt to multiple art styles, product types, and intended demographics.
• Experience in technical drawings to be used by product manufacturers.
• An expert knowledge in drawing and art editing software.
• A wide knowledge of product types and their designs, specifications, materials, and production.
• A deep understanding of the early teens to young adult demographic, particularly those in the animation, gaming, anime, and “nerd” cultures.
• A love of Youtube content and related programming.

Bonus Skills:

• Comic and graphic novel illustrating.
• Graphic design.
• 3D modelling/art.
• Web development and UX/UI experience.
• Concept art and character design.
• Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere.
