Software Engineering Manager

We have partnered with a fast growing business that is disrupting the vacation rental landscape in Munich, Germany. With over 500 employees and a healthy organic growth trajectory, we are helping them to find 3 Engineering Managers for their development teams.

Your Impact:

• Lead a cross-functional team of like-minded Engineers
• Implement innovative technical solutions across systems used by hosts and internal teams
• Partner with product teams to understand business context and define roadmaps
• Play a pivotal role in supporting the high growth trajectory of the business
• Foster a culture of autonomy, ownership and excellence

Skill-set:

• Proven track-record as a successful software engineer building backend and/or frontend applications.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin/Spring (JavaScript/TypeScript/React is a plus)
• Exceptional product thinking and background in system architecture and designing microservices landscapes.
• Experience providing technical leadership (e.g. setting goals and priorities, high-scale system design, task planning, and code reviews).

Technology Stack:

Java 11+, Kotlin with Spring Boot, AWS, ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch

The team are based in Central Munich and gets together 2 or 3 times a week in the office however you will be able to work and travel for up to 2 months in the year. Relocation assistance, visa sponsoring, etc. are available for the right candidate(s) in the EMEA region (due to proximity).
