Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled PGT Developer Level Computer Science HOD to lead the Computer Science Department for Classes 6-12. The ideal candidate should have expertise in modern programming languages, emerging technologies, and innovative teaching methodologies. They will oversee curriculum development, mentor faculty, and ensure high-quality education delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Computer Science department.
• Curriculum Development: Design and update an advanced curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines, incorporating AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
• Lesson Planning & Delivery: Ensure engaging and high-quality lesson plans for secondary and senior secondary students.
• Faculty Development: Mentor and train computer science teachers, promoting continuous professional growth.
• Technology Integration: Implement the latest educational technologies, coding platforms, and digital tools for enhanced learning.
• Project & Research Guidance: Supervise student projects, coding competitions, and research initiatives.
• Industry Collaboration: Establish partnerships with IT companies, universities, and tech professionals for guest lectures, internships, and industry exposure.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Develop assessment tools to measure student progress and department effectiveness.
• Cybersecurity & Ethics: Ensure students and faculty adhere to responsible digital practices and cybersecurity measures.
• Event Management: Organize hackathons, tech fairs, and coding workshops.
• Administrative Duties: Coordinate with school leadership, maintain department records, and manage lab infrastructure.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with B.Ed. or M.Ed.
• Experience:
• 10+ years of teaching experience, including senior secondary (Classes 11-12).
• Proven track record of leadership in an academic institution.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, SQL, and web development.
• Experience in AI, data science, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing is preferred.
  

Screening Process:

• Written Test: Subject-specific evaluation in advanced computer science topics.
• Technical Test: Practical assessment of programming, database management, and software applications.
• Teaching Demonstration: Conduct a lesson to demonstrate teaching effectiveness.
• Leadership Interview: Evaluate leadership vision, teaching philosophy, and department management approach.
  
  

Salary:

• HOD - Computer Science: ₹35,000 - ₹50,000 per month
