Senior Golang Developer

We are currently seeking a Senior Golang Developer on behalf of our client, a leading financial technology company specializing in high-load, low-latency solutions for trading and payments. The role is based in Cyprus with a hybrid work approach and offers a comprehensive relocation package.

About the Role

As a Senior Golang Developer, you will be part of either the Payments or Trading Department, focusing on the development, optimization, and support of production software solutions. You will play a crucial role in building high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems that capture market value efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, not just a ticket-resolver—someone who takes ownership of challenges, works collaboratively across teams, and delivers well-thought-out, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-load microservices in Golang and Python
• Design and optimize scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Build integrations with other teams’ services
• Ensure high-performance data processing using PostgreSQL, Kafka, and ClickHouse
• Work in a Kubernetes-based environment, deploying and scaling services efficiently
• Take ownership of projects from concept to production support

Tech Stack

• Languages: Golang (primary), Python
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, REST/gRPC APIs
• Databases: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB
• Messaging & Streaming: Kafka
• Architecture: Microservices, high-load, real-time processing

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Golang
• Solid knowledge of Python (commercial experience is a plus)
• Strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and query optimization (EXPLAIN, ANALYZE)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience working with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ level)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kafka Connect, ClickHouse, MongoDB
• Familiarity with Temporal workflow orchestration
