React/React Native Developer - WFH/Remote

Role Overview

As a React Native Developer, you will work closely with our fractional CTO, project manager, and existing developers to build and enhance a fitness app. The role requires expertise in React Native for mobile development and React.js for the cloud-based dashboard. We are looking for someone who understands user experience in fitness apps and can implement features that cater to athletes and fitness professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
• Enhance the React-based cloud dashboard for organizations and coaches to track user performance.
• Integrate AWS services for cloud storage, data processing, and authentication.
• Implement UI/UX improvements based on user feedback.
• Collaborate with the team in an Agile/Scrum environment, following two-week sprint cycles using Notion for project tracking.
• Ensure seamless API integrations and work with third-party fitness tracking tools.
• Optimize app performance and scalability for a growing user base.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• React Native – 4+ years (Mobile App Development)
• React.js – 6+ years (Web App Development)
• AWS Services – 2+ years (Cloud Infrastructure)
• Experience with mobile UI frameworks and responsive design
• Strong understanding of API integration and database interactions
• Prior experience working in an Agile development team
• Strong English communication skills for team meetings and sprint planning

Preferred:

• Experience developing fitness-related applications
• Familiarity with Strava API or other fitness tracking integrations
• Knowledge of fitness concepts, training plans, or sports science
• Familiarity with Redux, Firebase, or GraphQL

Additional Details

• Start Date: Flexible (ASAP preferred)
• Shift Schedule: Must be available for overlap with US-based teams (Mid-shift or nightshift PH time).
• Work Setup: Fully remote, but must be exclusively dedicated (not freelancing or doing part-time elsewhere).
