This Amsterdam-based FinTech powerhouse is expanding its team with a Senior Systems Engineer to maintain, optimize, and automate its high-performance on-premises infrastructure.

You'll work on the low-latency trading platform, tackling deep Linux engineering challenges, automating provisioning, and ensuring bare-metal infrastructure and Kubernetes orchestration run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Ensure 24/7 availability of a complex trading infrastructure spanning bare-metal Linux and Kubernetes.

🔹 Architect and automate bare-metal provisioning and system configuration.

🔹 Investigate & resolve low-level Linux performance issues (networking, filesystem, kernel debugging).

🔹 Develop new tooling to optimize infrastructure, leveraging open-source technologies.

🔹 Participate in architectural discussions to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.

🔹 On-call responsibilities: 1 week every 5.

Essential Experience:

✔️ 5+ years in Systems/Linux engineering.

✔️ Deep Linux expertise, including bare-metal provisioning and performance tuning.

✔️ Experience managing large-scale, complex on-prem infrastructure.

✔️ Configuration Management (Puppet, Chef, Salt).

Beneficial Experience:

➕ Kubernetes expertise (especially in on-premises environments).

➕ Experience in trading, finance, or other high-performance environments.

➕ Programming experience (Python, Golang) for automation & tooling.

📍 Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid: 1 day/week in office).

💰 Salary: €90-120K (incl. holiday allowance) + 13th-month bonus + pension + performance bonus.
