Cloud Network & Security Architect

Our client is a renowned global innovator, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Network and Security Architect with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of GCP and network & secruity architecture, coupled with expertise in Kubernetes, Unix, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible, Docker, and DevOps principles.

Responsibilities:

• Be the point of contact for our customers: Advise our customers on cloud governance & compliance, cloud security and information security management and supervise complex transformation processes.
• Develop customised solutions: Combine requirements from security standards with regulatory requirements and develop customised solutions.
• Take responsibility: Act as a link between specialist departments and IT and take responsibility from the outset.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience: You have a degree or relevant training, as well as relevant experience in the areas of cloud security, data protection, IT risk management, outsourcing management and information security, ideally in consulting.
• Security know-how: You implement security requirements, from network architecture to privileged access management.
• Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer or Google Cloud Security Network Engineer certification desirable

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Network and Security Architect with a focus on GCP with minimum 5 yrs of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• In-depth knowledge of Unix systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• GCP network and security certifications preferred.

Language:

• English is a must
• Arabic is an advantage
