My client is looking for a Python Backend Developer to join their team. This is a full remote position within the Netherlands, offering flexibility to work from anywhere in the country. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing high-performance backend services using Python frameworks like Django or Flask. You will collaborate closely with the frontend team to build reliable and scalable APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design & Optimize: Develop and enhance scalable RESTful APIs and backend services that power our platform.
• AWS Integration: Work with advanced AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS, S3, EC2, RDS, IAM) to deploy and manage high-performance solutions.
• Database Management: Ensure data integrity and seamless performance in both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team to build a cohesive and efficient product.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve issues, optimize performance, and refine systems based on feedback and testing.
• Innovation: Translate business challenges into effective backend solutions, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Python backend development, with expertise in Django or Flask.
• Proven experience working with AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, S3, EC2, RDS, and IAM.
• Strong knowledge of both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with backend architecture patterns and RESTful API design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Preferably, some knowledge of frontend frameworks like ReactJS and NextJS.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
