Are you a seasoned Mobile Network Engineer eager to shape the future of IoT connectivity? Our client, a UK-based Mobile Network Operator powering millions of SIMs globally, is transforming how industries connect devices with secure, scalable mobile infrastructure.

To support their continued expansion, we’re hiring two Senior Core Network Engineers to lead operational excellence across the mobile core. You’ll play a key role in keeping the network performing at its best, onboarding new partners, and scaling services to meet global demand.

This is a remote contract opportunity with strong potential to become a permanent role.

💼 Your Role Will Include:

• Oversee and optimize core mobile elements: HLR/HSS, STP/DRA, PGW, IMS
• Administer critical infrastructure: switching, routing, servers, and data center environments
• Monitor service performance and respond proactively to incidents
• Deliver infrastructure projects to enhance scale, service quality, and partner integration
• Guide and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative and growth-driven team
• Solve complex technical issues alongside vendors and internal stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to security standards, regulations, and mobile network policies
• Maintain clean, clear technical documentation for all systems and operations

✅ What You Bring:

• Demonstrated experience supporting live, production-grade mobile networks
• Deep knowledge of telecom protocols (SS7, GTP, MAP, CAMEL, Diameter, VoLTE, SIP, AAA)
• Familiarity with key mobile elements: HLR/HSS, PGW/GGSN, STP/DRA, IMS, SMSC
• Strong grasp of networking protocols like IPv4, OSPF, BGP, MPLS
• Hands-on with Cisco, Fortinet, Nexus systems
• Solid experience with Linux (Ubuntu, HAProxy) and Microsoft server environments (MS-SQL, IIS)
• Proficient with monitoring/automation tools (Grafana, Syslog, SNMP) and scripting (Powershell, Bash)
• Bonus: experience in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or programming in .NET/C#
• Excellent communicator and team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 network reliability
