New Role - Network Automation Lead

Location - UK - Fully Remote

Salary £80-85,000 plus bonus and bens

Help shape the future of network automation for an expanding and award winning service provider.

My client looking for a hands-on technical automation lead to drive automation across our next-gen network stack—think WAN/LAN, Wireless, 5G, XGSPON, FWA, IoT, and more. You'll work closely with Network Architects and Product teams to build scalable automation frameworks that streamline deployments and operations.

What you'll do:

Design and develop tools to automate network design, deployment, fault finding/fix, and monitoring

Build user-facing and backend systems for managing network data

Lead automation for product releases, testing, and validation

Drive best practices in automation

Ensure new products ship with automation baked in

What they're looking for:

Strong background in network engineering and automation

Proficient in Python, possibly with Django experience

Skilled in both backend scripting and building UIs

Familiar with CI/CD, version control, and network source of truth systems (e.g. Netbox)

Confident with routing, switching, and vendor automation platforms

Bonus points for:

Experience with WAN/LAN, Private 5G, IoT, or PON

Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Cloud/network/security certs (AWS, CCNP, Fortinet, etc.)

Contributions to open-source or automation communities

An excellent role were you lead the automation strategy from tooling, software and full network automation.
