Professional Engineer โ€“ Precast Concrete

Location: Greater Wichita, KS Area

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $120,000โ€“$150,000 Base, Commensurate with Experience

Job Overview

We seek a skilled Professional Engineer (PE) to join our clientโ€™s engineering team. This role focuses on designing precast and prestressed concrete components and managing projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with expertise in structural design and a proven ability to oversee complex construction projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review precast/prestressed concrete components, including members, connections, and detailing, ensuring compliance with PCI and ACI standards.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating with drafters, production teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Provide technical expertise for handling, transportation, and erection of precast elements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Support business development through technical proposals and client engagement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masterโ€™s preferred).
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas or eligibility for comity/reciprocity.
  • 3+ years of experience in Construction design, preferably for commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading construction or manufacturing projects.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of PCI certification standards and concrete construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in the greater Wichita, KS area (relocation assistance may be available).
