System Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IT System Engineer with German to join the IT team of an international company supporting branches in Germany, France, and Switzerland. The role involves maintaining and developing IT infrastructure in a Microsoft and VMware environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Administration and maintenance of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)

✅ Managing system and application updates, including testing and deployment

✅ Backup and recovery using Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup policy management, monitoring, and test recovery processes

✅ Administration and maintenance of VMware environment, including troubleshooting and updates

✅ Troubleshooting issues related to Windows Server, networking, and IT security

✅ User support and access management in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)

✅ Developing and implementing backup policies and Disaster Recovery strategies

Requirements:

🔹 Minimum 5 years of experience in IT systems administration

🔹 Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)

🔹 Experience in Update Management, including testing and deploying Windows Server and application updates

🔹 Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup testing and restoration processes

🔹 Experience with VMware administration, including troubleshooting and performance optimization

🔹 Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)

🔹 PowerShell or other automation tools are a plus

🔹 Advanced German and English language proficiency is required
