BackOffice Developer

We're looking for a skilled Back-End Engineer to strengthen the systems and infrastructure behind our trading and post-trading operations. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable systems that support trading across multiple asset classes, with an initial focus on crypto markets. The role offers significant exposure to the technologies and engineering operations behind algorithmic trading, with an opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineering, quant and trading ops teams to automate critical workflows.

This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys solving engineering challenges and has a strong interest in the intersection of technology and financial markets.

Location:

Yerevan, Armenia (Hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement / relocation help offered*)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable back-end systems to support multiple trading strategies.
• Collaborate with globally distributed cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for back office.
• Optimize and improve existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Automate business workflows to increase operational and capital efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software engineering, with an emphasis on back‑end development
• Experience in Python (Java experience is a plus)
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and(or) NoSQL databases
• Sharp analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and willingness to contribute to the team
• Interest in cryptocurrency markets
• Fluent in English
  
  

Nice To Have Requirements

• Background in derivatives markets
• Proven track record in Traditional Finance or Crypto, supporting trading, middle‑office, or back‑office platforms
• End‑to‑end commercial software delivery experience—from gathering requirements and sprint planning to deployment and live‑system maintenance
• Well‑versed in Agile frameworks and industry‑standard development practices
• Skilled in designing and operating distributed systems, microservices, and event‑driven architectures
