Network engineer

Role: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Amsterdam

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operation of network infrastructure, resolving issues and maintaining performance.
• Implementing on-prem and cloud network systems solutions.
• Handling planned network maintenance activities and participating in network infrastructure planning.
• Implement and maintain secure configuration standards, and adhere to the info sec policy to protect the network resources.
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in LACP, STP, VLAN, MLAG, OSPF, BGP, IGMP, PIM.
• Experience with multicast routing, security devices /firewalls.
• Proficiency in network services (SNMP/Telemetry, Syslog, NTP/PTP, TACACS+/RADIUS).
• Experience with Linux environment.
• Knowledge of Data centre operations (cabling and optics standards, hardware installation requirements, experience working with smart hands).
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Bash or Python.
