We are seeking a Java Tech Lead to join our dynamic team in Accra, Ghana. This full-time, on-site role is a unique opportunity to lead and influence the development of cutting-edge software projects. As a pivotal member of our team, you will design and implement microservices, apply advanced design patterns, and contribute to programming efforts. Your leadership will guide technical decision-making and mentorship for our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee software development projects from inception to deployment, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and security standards.
• Design and implement robust microservices architectures using frameworks such as Spring, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Apply best practices in implementing design patterns to solve complex software engineering problems.
• Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence in coding, code review, and testing practices.
• Influence technical decisions and contribute to the strategic planning of technology roadmaps.
• Mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative, learning-driven environment.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software development and programming with a strong Java background.
• Expertise in microservices frameworks (Spring, Micronaut, Quarkus) and their implementation.
• A solid understanding of design patterns and their application in building scalable software.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of influencing technical decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience in the financial sector is advantageous.
