Job Description


A software firm are recruiting for a PHP Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience to join their growing digital team. This is a hands-on development role focused on scaling the B2B e-commerce platform (built on OpenCart), integrating with external APIs, and supporting modern automation workflows. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team where your work has immediate impact—building tools that connect platforms, streamline operations, and serve thousands of users across the UK and Europe.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining OpenCart-based portals and internal tools
  • Building reliable integrations with customer and partner APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • Writing clean, maintainable PHP code and managing MySQL databases
  • Supporting EDI data flows and automation through platforms like Boomi
  • Working closely with the product and integration teams to shape technical solutions
  • Participating in agile sprints, peer reviews, and version-controlled deployments


Required skills:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in PHP development
  • Strong MySQL knowledge, including database structure and performance
  • Experience with OpenCart or similar e-commerce frameworks (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce)
  • Solid understanding of API integration (REST, SOAP, JSON/XML)
  • Familiarity with Git and typical dev workflows
