Job Title: Freelance Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Remote (client based in the Netherlands)

Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Machine Learning Engineer to support an energy sector client based in the Netherlands. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and the energy industry.

You will focus on developing and deploying advanced machine learning models for time series forecasting, with a particular emphasis on applications relevant to energy markets and smart grid optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with time series forecasting methods (statistical and deep learning).
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience in energy markets or smart grid applications (highly desirable).
• Solid experience with version control systems (Git) and containerization tools (Docker).
• Understanding of MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.
• AWS Cloud however any major cloud service is considered
