Senior GenAI Engineer

• Location: Remote (Bogotá, Colombia)
• English Proficiency: B2+ or C1

We are seeking a Senior GenAI Engineer with hands-on experience building real-world AI applications, including LLM-based and agentic systems. This role combines AI engineering, full-stack development, and client-facing delivery, with a strong focus on autonomous agent workflows, RAG architectures, and process orchestration.

You will deliver semi-autonomous GenAI solutions across industriesparticularly BFSI, Financial Advisory, and Investment Bankingworking in dynamic, startup-style environments where ownership, adaptability, and structured thinking in ambiguity are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI-driven agentic systems for adaptive process orchestration and workflow automation.
• Build and refine LLM-powered applications for real-world use cases such as:
• Automating client meeting preparation.
• Generating Buyer/Seller summaries and qualification outputs.
• Develop, test, and optimize extractive and generative AI capabilities using LLMs.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and multi-agent frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Act as a technical counterpart in client-facing discussions, presenting solutions and gathering requirements.

Required Experience

• At least 5+ years of Software Engineering experience (AI, backend, or full stack).
• At least 2+ years working with production GenAI applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python (plus experience with JavaScript / Flask / modern web frameworks).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, etc.) and Transformers.
• Agentic Frameworks LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex (any).
• Hugging Face ecosystem models, pipelines, and tooling.
• AI model fine-tuning techniques supervised fine-tuning, LoRA, PEFT, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy multi-agent systems.
• Experience with Vector Databases (ChromaDB, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.).
• Solid understanding of RAG architectures and prompt engineering.
• Experience deploying on AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Proven ability to work in ambiguity, create structure, and drive delivery in unstructured environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with prior client-facing involvement.
