Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer (Contract) | Fully Remote | Romania

Location: Romania (Fully Remote)

Duration: 6-Month Initial Contract

Our client, a prestigious technology consultancy renowned for its innovative digital projects, is seeking a talented ML Engineer to join a high-performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on advanced AI initiatives for a diverse range of enterprise clients.

In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in refining and deploying state-of-the-art machine learning models. You will focus on ensuring our client's AI solutions are not only powerful but also robust, fair, and efficient.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Model Optimization: Fine-tuning, optimizing, and retraining a variety of ML/AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and other enterprise-grade models.
• Evaluation & Testing: Building and maintaining rigorous evaluation pipelines to test for accuracy, robustness, fairness, and efficiency using frameworks like DeepEval, RAGAS, and custom tools.
• MLOps & Automation: Automating the end-to-end ML lifecycle using tools like MLflow and implementing industry-standard MLOps practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Implementing monitoring and feedback loops to track model performance and drift in production environments.
• Benchmarking: Conducting benchmarking and A/B testing to validate and demonstrate model improvements.
• Cloud & Data Platforms: Leveraging powerful platforms like Databricks Mosaic AI and cloud ML services (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker) to manage scalable workloads.

What We're Looking For:

• A strong background in machine learning engineering with proven experience in MLOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python and core ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with ML evaluation frameworks and a good understanding of bias/fairness tools (e.g., SHAP, LIME, InterpretML).
• Solid SQL skills and the ability to work with both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Familiarity with Spark/Databricks for data processing tasks.
• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph for evaluation and testing is a strong plus.
• A solid understanding of deep learning and neural network architectures.
