We are seeking a Perception Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced perception systems for autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). You’ll work on cutting-edge computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning challenges—helping these vessels perceive and navigate safely through complex maritime environments.

This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll contribute across the full perception stack—from developing and optimizing algorithms for object detection and tracking to integrating real-time data from multiple sensors in the field.

The team combines autonomy, AI, and robotics expertise to deliver real-world autonomous systems that perform in the harshest conditions on Earth.

Required Skills:

• Strong background in computer vision, machine learning, and sensor fusion
• Hands-on experience developing algorithms for object detection, tracking, and scene understanding
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA
• Experience implementing real-time data processing pipelines
• Knowledge of multi-sensor integration (camera, LiDAR, radar, GPS)
• Proven ability to optimize algorithms for efficiency and low latency
• US Person (Citizen or Green Card holder) required

Desired:

• Experience with autonomous vehicles or maritime systems
• Familiarity with signals processing and low-latency inference
• Strong debugging skills and experience working with complex hardware/software systems
• Track record of testing and validating AI systems in real-world environments
