Job Title: Data Scientist III

Location: 100% Remote

Contract Length: 6 months

Pay Rate: $82 - $88/hour based on experience and education level


Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist III to join our Data Science and Analytics team. This group combines business, scientific, and machine learning expertise to maximize data assets and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that drive decision-making. The Data Scientist III will enable application of advanced analytics across clinical development processes, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights, support clinical trial execution, and identify opportunities for innovation in clinical research analytics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute analytics needs for assigned clinical trials in alignment with therapeutic areas.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven insights throughout the end-to-end clinical trial lifecycle.
  • Identify business needs and support the creation of RBQM deliverables (KRIs/QTLs), study-specific reports, and data review deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design analytical solutions, gather requirements, and deliver user-friendly outputs.
  • Develop prototypes, algorithms, and innovative solutions leveraging statistical methods, ML, and AI.
  • Establish design standards and ensure consistency of analytical work across projects.
  • Translate clinical and business needs into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulations, guidelines, and policies related to clinical development to ensure compliance.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports to track clinical trial progress and risks.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of analytics-related experience in clinical research (clinical data experience strongly preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency with R (Python or other statistical packages a plus).
  • Expertise with visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and deliver in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred:

  • Experience in risk-based quality management (RBQM) and regulatory compliance (GCP, ICH).
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical and data mining techniques.
  • Demonstrated success applying ML/AI solutions in a clinical or scientific setting.
