Product Owner – Data & Analytics Focus

We’re looking for a hands-on Product Owner with a strong background in data analytics and SQL to help shape and deliver impactful data-driven products. This role combines strategic product ownership with a deep understanding of data systems, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, data, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Product Owner for data-centric initiatives, defining product vision, roadmap, and success metrics.
• Partner closely with engineering, data, and business teams to translate complex data needs into actionable user stories.
• Own backlog prioritization and ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives and business outcomes.
• Leverage strong SQL skills to analyze datasets, validate requirements, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives — driving clarity, collaboration, and accountability across teams.
• Provide hands-on guidance in data modeling, ETL design, and analytics tooling where appropriate.

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in data-focused products or analytics platforms.
• Strong SQL skills — able to query, analyze, and validate complex datasets independently.
• Solid understanding of databases, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse concepts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth with strategic product thinking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-heavy role before moving into Product Ownership.
• Familiarity with tools like dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar modern data ecosystems.
• Background in financial services, investment management, or other data-rich industries is a plus.
