Head of Data Science for iGaming

• Fully remote b2b contract
• 90k GBP - 105K €
• Experience in online gambling is a must for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of data science projects across the business, contributing both technical expertise and business insight to planning, implementation, and performance tracking of deployed models.
• Discover and prioritize new use cases where machine learning can drive measurable business impact, such as automating player segmentation or detecting promotional abuse.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the Data Science team, including sprint planning, retrospectives, mentoring, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
• Partner closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure scalable and reliable model deployment, aligning solutions with the company’s data infrastructure and operational flows.
• Remain hands-on in modelling tasks when required, developing and refining models to detect behavioral patterns (e.g., fraud, trading risk), drive content personalization, and improve automation workflows.

Desired Experience:

• • Experience managing data science teams.
• • Deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle.
• • Practical experience deploying both batch and real-time models.
• • Solid expertise in machine learning methods.
• • Familiarity with modern MLOps and data engineering practices is advantageous.
• • Advanced ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using SQL, and NoSQL systems.
• • Strong programming skills in Python or R for statistical analysis and ML development.
