PROJECT

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a project in the hosting technologies domain. You’ll work on a distributed Python-based backend platform, the core component of our infrastructure. The role combines hands-on coding, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and designing new solutions from scratch. This is a technically challenging environment, with a fast onboarding process and full remote flexibility.

YOU WILL

• Develop and enhance a Python-based backend for a distributed hosting platform
• Design architecture for new components and maintain existing solutions
• Troubleshoot and solve complex application and infrastructure issues (last line of support)
• Work with modern CI/CD and containerization tools to support system automation
• Collaborate with the team on defining requirements and shaping the system roadmap

MUST HAVE

• 4-7 years of experience in backend software development
• 3+ years of experience working with Python
• Solid knowledge of Linux (administration, architecture, troubleshooting)
• Experience with distributed backend systems
• Ability to write automated tests and familiarity with testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Experience with: Kubernetes, Docker, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, Apache, Nginx, Postfix, Dovecot, LDAP, Kafka, Couchbase, LXC, cgroups
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab, Jenkins) and basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols
• Ability to work independently in production environments and solve complex problems

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of: Perl, C/C++, Lua, Go
• Familiarity with IaC tools: Ansible, Terraform, OpenStack, HashiCorp Vault
• Experience in hosting or cloud environments
