Job Title: Senior / Staff Software Engineer – Product & Platform
Client - Seed Start up
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $200K – $350K per annum
Location: New York City (In-person, 6 days/week- Sunday to Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Visa: H1B sponsorship available
About the Client :
We work within a large monorepo that contains our internal platform, utility tools (e.g., our data search engine and LLM-management services), and simulation platform. Engineers collaborate across the stack and have opportunities to work with Research, Product & Design, and customer engagement teams.
We use standard engineering tools including GitHub, Linear, Sentry, and Incident.io. The codebase is primarily Python and TypeScript, with Rust for performance-critical areas. Proficiency in all three languages is not required, but a willingness to learn across the stack is essential.

About the Role
We are rapidly scaling our operations, and there’s always more work to be done on product, internal tooling, and building the world’s best simulation system. We’re growing our engineering team to unblock these areas and are especially excited to bring on engineers who want to work closely with Product and Design to implement end-to-end customer-facing and internal products.
Over the next 12–18 months, you will lead implementation across a wide range of initiatives—from internal tooling to the first interaction a customer has with our system—helping shape the future of our platform.
Mission
Work alongside Product and Design teams to scale and improve customer-facing and internal products. You’ll take ownership of projects end-to-end, collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and engineering teams to tackle initiatives from concept to production.
- Build a deep understanding of our systems and processes, and how they interact across the platform.
- Manage and optimize databases for efficient storage, retrieval, and secure data access.
- Implement testing strategies and maintain deployment pipelines to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Scope and plan work collaboratively, contributing to technical decisions and architecture beyond “getting it done.”
Seniority
- Leaning towards Senior / Staff+ engineers
- 1+ years of professional experience in full-stack, backend, or infrastructure engineering
Preferred Work Experience
- Worked at a high-bar startup, a top team at a large company (e.g., Google Ads), or in Quant/Finance.
- Experience delivering projects end-to-end.
- Been part of a company through a growth phase (10 → 100+ engineers) or Series B+ startups.
Education
- CS, Math, Physics, or similar degree from a top school
Miscellaneous
- Willingness to work 6 days per week (Sunday to Friday) in-person in New York City.
