Job Description – Business Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (Any Time Zone)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: 8 Months (Possible extension up to 18 months)
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will support inventory reconciliation, data quality improvement, and supply-chain workflows. This role is part of a team responsible for managing inventory through FSL, onboarding suppliers into B2B systems, and ensuring accurate inventory serialization and reconciliation across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Typical Day in the Role
- Perform daily inventory reconciliation, serialization, and data accuracy checks.
- Analyze large data sets to identify data inconsistencies and perform root cause analysis.
- Support supplier onboarding into B2B workflows and maintain clean process execution.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, and business teams to streamline post-system-release processes.
- Report data quality trends, track issues, and recommend actionable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clear communication channels across business units and project teams.
- Manage and organize project communications data, business metrics, and documentation.
- Conduct contract reviews, cost proposal assessments, and support project governance.
- Define, document, and maintain business processes and workflow structures.
- Track budgets, expenditures, and cost controls; identify risks of budget overruns.
- Support project goals, deadlines, and performance metrics through reliable reporting and operational support.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of business principles such as strategic planning, resource allocation, and production workflows.
- Ability to apply accounting/mathematical concepts when evaluating trends and projections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with enterprise applications preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform deep data analysis.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in inventory management, reconciliation, data quality, reporting, or similar roles.
- Experience working with supply chain processes and execution workflows (2–3 years minimum).
