Job Description


We are looking for a part-time WordPress Developer to join our remote-first engineering team for 20 hours per week. In this role, you’ll support ongoing website enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features across various WordPress-based projects. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure high-quality execution, stable performance, and a smooth user experience across all sites you help maintain.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Maintain and enhance existing WordPress websites by implementing updates, improvements, and optimizations.
Develop new features, templates, and components using WordPress best practices.
Customize themes and plugins as needed to meet project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges.
Ensure strong SEO, speed, and security practices across assigned projects.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to align requirements and deliverables.
Perform routine content updates and assist with CMS-related tasks.

WHAT YOU BRING

✔️ 2+ years of professional experience working with WordPress.
✔️ Strong experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and the Gutenberg editor.
✔️ Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
✔️ Familiarity with popular builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) is a plus.
✔️ Ability to manage part-time responsibilities effectively (20 hours/week).
✔️ Experience optimizing website performance and SEO fundamentals.
✔️ Comfort working with Git and Agile workflows.
✔️ Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
