About The Role
The Staff Data Analyst at Huntress reports directly to the Senior Director of Analytics and plays a critical role in transforming complex data into strategic insights that influence customer support and security operations. This remote role is based in the US and offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $155,000 to $170,000 annually, complemented by bonuses and equity options. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to support leadership teams by developing comprehensive analytical frameworks to assess customer health, operational efficiency, and product engagement. The role involves owning end-to-end reporting processes, designing scalable dashboards, and conducting deep-dive analyses to inform strategic decisions. The analyst will act as a trusted advisor, translating technical data into clear narratives for diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and non-technical teams. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within customer data, supporting capacity planning, and enhancing operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with analytics engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and aligned with company objectives, ultimately helping Huntress maintain its competitive edge in cybersecurity service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Proven experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to convey complex data insights clearly
- Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence strategic decision-making
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on customer health reporting and operational metrics
- Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports for executive and operational audiences
- Knowledge of data pipeline development and maintenance in collaboration with analytics engineers
- Analyze customer usage, enablement, and engagement to unlock value within the install base
- Provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver timely alerts on significant changes or anomalies
- Develop and present compelling, data-driven narratives to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business reviews such as QBRs and board meetings
- Lead in-depth analyses on critical business questions including sales effectiveness, market segmentation, and pricing strategies
- Manage the end-to-end reporting process for support metrics, customer health, product usage, and support efficiency
- Support business teams in understanding operational performance, staffing capacity, and product requirements
- Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards and reports using BI tools to provide visibility into key performance metrics
- Conduct complex data analysis using SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from sources like Salesforce, marketing platforms, and financial systems
- Serve as a trusted advisor by proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within customer health and support data products
