Senior Data Architect (Grafana)

For Digital Hub Warsaw, we are looking for:

Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our Observability Squad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing the integration and data architecture for our Observability platform based on the Grafana stack. You will oversee the development of data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility while establishing robust frameworks to optimize our Observability efforts and empower data-driven technologies.

Additionally, you will ensure data governance and compliance across all systems to maintain data integrity and security. Your expertise will also drive performance optimization initiatives to enhance system efficiency and responsiveness, enabling advanced insights through the implementation of AI and ML capabilities. Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Design of Data Integration Pipelines: You will create and implement efficient data integration pipelines that ensure seamless data flow between our Observability solution and various source systems. This involves selecting appropriate interfaces, defining data transformation processes, and optimizing workflows.
  • Design Analytics & Observability Frameworks: In this role, you will develop comprehensive analytics and reporting frameworks that empower stakeholders with actionable insights. This includes determining relevant data, establishing data visualization standards, and ensuring that data is user-friendly, easily accessible and tailored to meet the needs of different areas.
  • Definition of Data Integration Strategy: You will define a clear data integration strategy that aligns with our business objectives. This involves assessing current data sources, identifying gaps, and recommending best practices for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval to enhance overall data quality and usability.
  • Define Data Governance and Compliance: You will establish and enforce data governance policies and compliance measures to ensure the integrity and security of our data assets. This includes developing guidelines for data management, monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements, and implementing processes for data quality assurance.

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
  • 3+ years' working experience in the field of Observability (preferably with Grafana Stack)
  • Excellent data architecture & technology knowledge and data engineering skills in Observability solutions
  • Proficient in data modeling techniques with a strong capability to mentor and support data engineers in best practices and implementation strategies
  • Proficient in Python
  • Proficient in GitHub ecosystem including GitHub actions for CI/CD
  • Profound knowledge in Observability solutions (preferable Grafana Stack) and Open Telemetry
  • Experience in applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken, intercultural awareness and willingness to travel from time to time
