The Role 

This role is the engine of Page Vault’s services business. Legal teams come to us to preserve case-critical online evidence that’s more complex than a simple screenshot—entire websites, social media profiles, embedded media, and dynamic web content. Our clients rely on us to deliver captures that are complete, clean, and court-ready.

We’re hiring a detail-obsessed teammate who will (1) produce high-quality captures in the Page Vault software, and (2) QA capture outputs—especially bulk/automated capture projects—to catch issues early and prevent rework, and (3) contribute to pushing the envelope to be more efficient and find innovative solutions to our client’s needs.

What You’ll Do

Capture production (approx. 40%)

• Produce web and social media captures for customers using the Page Vault software
• Choose the best capture approach based on job specs and the content being preserved
• Deliver captures on time and without defects

Quality Assurance (approx. 40%)

• QA captures (your own and others’) against standards before delivery
• Identify and correct issues that commonly occur in automated/bulk captures (e.g., incomplete scrolls, skipped items, cutoffs, missing content)
• Follow QA checklists precisely and help improve them when changes are needed

Troubleshooting & research (approx. 15%)

• Troubleshoot difficult capture targets by systematically trying available settings and methods before escalating
• Use internal documentation to run approved workflows (including terminal scripts and browser tools) to improve capture results when needed
• Document what you tried so others can quickly help if escalation is required

Scoping support (approx. 5%)

• Review complex capture targets and URL sets
• Help estimate effort and identify risks (logins, dynamic content, paywalls, etc.)

• Enjoy a mix of focused independent work and collaborative problem-solving
• Are comfortable using modern web tools (browsers, web apps, basic troubleshooting)
• Are able to manage multiple tasks and hit deadlines in a remote environment
• Have strong written communication skills (especially when documenting issues and what you tried)

Bonus points if you’re familiar with:

• Browser developer tools (DevTools)
• Running scripts in terminal (you don’t need to write code)
• eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity)

Experience

• Demonstrated relevant experience
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (we cannot sponsor visas)
• Comfort working full-time in a remote environment

Job Details

• Fully remote work, with 2-3 in-person annual team meetings

• Target compensation for this role is $50,000 - $65,000, depending on candidate experience
