This is a fractional Social Media Manager role—not an internship, not full-time employment, but a professional partnership where you own our social presence while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.
You'll be our founding social voice, working directly with the founder to translate a sophisticated brand identity into content that resonates, builds community, and drives our pre-launch momentum through to first sales.

What You'll Own
Content Strategy & Creation (60%)
Develop and execute our content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
Create scroll-stopping Reels, Stories, carousels, and TikToks (concept through edit)
Write captions that feel intimate and poetic, not salesy
Source and curate UGC and brand inspiration content
Test formats, analyze performance, and iterate based on data
Community Building (25%)
Engage authentically with our growing community (DMs, comments, mentions)
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential brand ambassadors
Monitor brand conversations and sentiment
Transform early adopters into vocal advocates
Create content that sparks genuine conversation and connection
Growth & Analysis (15%)
Track weekly metrics and surface actionable insights
Report on content performance and audience behavior
Stay ahead of platform trends and algorithm shifts
Recommend tactical adjustments based on data
Support influencer outreach and gifting strategy
Collaborate on email list building and pre-launch campaigns
You're Our Person If
Experience
1–3 years in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing
Proven track record growing brands on Instagram and TikTok (bonus: Pinterest)
Portfolio demonstrating aesthetic sophistication and strategic thinking
Experience in fashion, jewellery, beauty, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
Skills
Visual storytelling: You understand how to translate brand emotion into visual content
Writing: Your captions have personality and rhythm; you can shift tone with intention
Design & editing: Proficient in Canva/Adobe, CapCut/Premiere, Lightroom
Photography: Can art-direct (use our professionally captured photos) or shoot product content yourself (phone or camera)
Platform mastery: Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest algorithms and best practices
Analytics: Comfortable translating data into strategy adjustments

You have impeccable taste and can articulate why something works aesthetically
You're self-directed—you see opportunities and act on them without waiting for instruction
You can take feedback gracefully and iterate quickly
You love jewellery and follow the industry closely

Your own social presence reflects your aesthetic sensibility
You can commit 10–20 hours/week for 6 months minimum
