Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time, fully remote role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies across multiple channels. You will be responsible for social media marketing, content creation, online campaigns, web analytics, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and performance reporting, all while supporting our mission to promote local businesses across Cumbria.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Campaign Management
- Plan, implement, and manage end-to-end digital marketing campaigns across social media platforms, email marketing, websites, and online advertising channels
- Develop and execute data-driven digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals and community growth
- Create, curate, and schedule high-quality, engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and other emerging channels
- Manage social media calendars, campaigns, and promotions to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth
- Monitor community interaction, respond to comments/messages, and help foster a positive online presence
- Develop and implement SEO strategies including keyword research, on-page optimization, content optimization, and link-building
- Manage and optimize SEM and paid advertising campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions
- Improve website visibility, search rankings, and organic growth through best-practice digital techniques
- Track, monitor, and analyze performance using web analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights, campaign dashboards, etc.)
- Produce detailed marketing reports with clear insights, KPIs, and actionable recommendations
- Continuously test, refine, and optimize campaigns based on performance data
- Work closely with internal teams, local partners, and Cumbrian businesses to support promotions and campaigns
- Align marketing initiatives with business objectives and community-focused projects
- Support partner onboarding and promotional content where needed
- Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, tools, algorithms, and best practices
- Proactively recommend new ideas, platforms, and strategies to keep LTC competitive and innovative
- Proven experience in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing
- Strong understanding of Online Marketing, Web Analytics, SEO, and SEM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies
- Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and translate insights into action
- Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
- Experience working with local businesses, directories, or community-based platforms
- Knowledge of email marketing tools, CRM systems, or content management systems (CMS)
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand building
- Experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
