Job Description
Full Stack Software Engineer
London (On-site, 5 days/week)
£100,000 – £200,000 + meaningful equity + could offer visa sponsorship
Connect AI is partnering with a high-growth, mission-driven technology company that is rebuilding industrial manufacturing through software. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of software, automation, and the physical world, with real-world impact at scale.
Our client is building a proprietary operating system that powers distributed, software-defined factories, enabling faster iteration, higher output, and next-generation manufacturing capabilities. They are now hiring 2–3 exceptional Full Stack Software Engineers to join their core engineering team in London.
The Opportunity
This role is for engineers who want ownership, autonomy, and impact — not just tickets. You’ll work closely with leadership and on-the-ground factory teams to design and deploy software that directly controls production systems.
You’ll be a true full-stack generalist, comfortable moving between infrastructure, backend services, frontend UX, real-time systems, and data pipelines.
This is a demanding environment with high expectations — but also exceptional learning, responsibility, and upside.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and build critical systems for factory automation, real-time data processing, and user experience
- Own end-to-end full stack development: infrastructure, backend services, frontend UX, and monitoring
- Work directly with operational teams to identify bottlenecks and turn real-world pain into software solutions
- Deploy and iterate rapidly, with software running live on factory floors
- Lead projects from concept through to production in fault-tolerant, high-stakes environments
- Optimise machine utilisation and orchestrate software across a growing network of production facilities
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years of experience as a Software Engineer (exceptions made for exceptional talent)
Strong experience with:
- TypeScript
- React
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
- Comfort working across the full stack in a high-autonomy environment
- Strong product intuition and the ability to build software that users actually rely on
- Willingness to work 5 days per week on-site in London (or relocate)
Nice to have / standout backgrounds
- Founder or founding engineer experience at a fast-paced startup
- Experience at top-tier, product-led or deeply technical companies
- Frontend-heavy SaaS experience with strong UX instincts
- Exposure to aerospace, defence, robotics, or industrial systems
If this role is of interest, please come back to me immediately for this urgent requirement.
