About the Position
At Krasamo, we are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer with experience in firmware development and embedded C++ software development to join our team remote from Latin America.
The selected candidate will be involved in:
- Firmware and embedded software development on Linux
- Kernel customization and system configuration using Yocto Project
- PCB design, validation, and testing for IoT devices
- Hardware and software integration for embedded systems
- Development and debugging of drivers and kernel modules
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on IoT projects
- Performance, reliability, and security optimization in embedded environments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Intermediate to advanced English level (B2 or higher)
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development
- Strong command of C/C++ and Embedded Linux
- Experience with Yocto Project, kernel customization, and Linux integration
- Knowledge of hardware, PCB design, and design tools
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative environments
- Familiarity with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, Wi-Fi, MQTT, etc.)
Nice to Have
- Experience with RTOS and ARM platforms
- Embedded systems integration with the cloud (IoT)
- Use of Docker or containers in embedded development
- Knowledge of firmware security and device management
- Passion for electronics, automation, and smart product development
- Teamwork with hardware, firmware, and software engineers
- Coordination mainly in U.S. Central Time (CST) schedule
