Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to join our team in a full-time, fully remote role. This position is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of search engines, technical SEO, content optimization, and performance tracking.

As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing SEO strategies that improve rankings, increase organic traffic, and support long-term growth for Loyal To Cumbria and its partner businesses.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution

• Develop and implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies
• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
• Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, and site structure
  
  

Technical SEO & Website Optimization

• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, including crawlability, indexing, and site performance
• Work with development teams to implement SEO best practices
• Improve website speed, mobile performance, and overall user experience
  
  

Content & Local SEO

• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to optimize content for search intent
• Support local SEO strategies, including business listings and location-based optimization
• Ensure consistency of NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data across platforms
  
  

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

• Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance using SEO and web analytics tools
• Produce SEO performance reports with insights and recommendations
• Continuously optimize strategies based on data, trends, and algorithm updates
  
  

SEO Best Practices & Innovation

• Stay up to date with search engine algorithms, SEO trends, and best practices
• Identify new tools, techniques, and opportunities to improve organic performance
• Ensure all SEO activity follows ethical, white-hat guidelines
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and content optimization
• Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, analytics platforms, and keyword tools
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience working with local SEO and regional businesses
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic HTML
• Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO)
