Position Overview
As an integral part of Red Lake Madsen Mine Ltd. team, the Human Resources Business Partner will provide support and guidance to client group departments and employees on employee relations, performance management, disability management, policies and procedures. The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for building successful, trusting relationships with all levels of the organization to ensure that all employees understand and demonstrate the values and culture of the Madsen Mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle for designated business groups, including onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout the employment term.
- Advise and guide client groups, supervisors, and employees on HR issues, including company policies, procedures, and relevant provincial and federal legislation, ensuring compliance and best practices across the organization.
- Be a trusted resource at all levels of the organization (first point of contact for designated business groups).
- Promote and maintain results-driven, continuous improvement, performance culture throughout the operation and recommend solutions and improvements to current HR processes and programs.
- Promote positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and employment legislation are adhered to.
- Ensure a consistent approach to problem resolution and discipline.
- Ensure a consistent approach to investigation of employee misconduct.
- Develop and deliver training to business group leaders and employees in the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety Act, company Policies and Procedures and current legislation.
- Enter payroll-related data accurately and respond to all payroll and benefit queries for the assigned business group in a timely and professional manner.
- Responsible for accurate data entry, timely processing, and maintenance of records related to the group benefit plan for the assigned business group. Respond to employee queries regarding benefit coverage, eligibility, and claims in a professional and timely manner.
- Responsible for the Disability Management for all assigned business groups.
- Develop preventative strategies for stay-at-work, accommodation, and best practice RTW programs.
- Utilize EFAP and other organizational supports to develop Disability Management strategies.
- Develop and deliver education on Disability for Leaders.
- Support Human Resources Manager with Disability management and prevention best practice. Develop robust Disability program, policy and education for organization.
- Assist business in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to Managers when appropriate.
- Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process for designated business groups, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Develop and implement recruitment best practices to attract and retain top talent.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including orientation and integration into the organization.
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other related discipline.
- 3 to 7 yearsโ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist preferably in an industrial or mining environment, with experience in recruitment, employee relations and disability management.
- Customer service orientation at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Sound judgment in resolving issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent software skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
