We are seeking a People Operations Manager / Generalist who thrives in systems, processes, and data—and is passionate about building people-first infrastructure from the ground up.
This role is both hands-on and strategic, supporting payroll, benefits, HR systems, recruiting, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle while helping operationalize our transition to a standalone HR infrastructure.

Payroll & Compliance
- Partner with our PEO to support accurate, bi-weekly payroll
- Audit payroll data and ensure multi-state compliance
- Manage employee payroll questions and resolutions
Recruiting
- Post roles, screen candidates, and manage the full recruiting lifecycle
- Coordinate interviews and support a positive candidate experience
- Prepare offers and manage acceptance and rejection communications
Benefits, Leave & HR Compliance
- Administer employee benefits and serve as primary point of contact
- Manage open enrollment and broker relationships
- Support leaves of absence and accommodations (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA)
People Systems & HRIS
- Own HR systems, employee records, and data integrity
- Develop and maintain SOPs for People Operations processes
- Support HR, payroll, and benefits systems within the PEO
Reporting & Insights
- Track and report on key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, and compliance
- Provide data-driven insights to support leadership decisions
Employee Lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding
- Continuously improve workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HRIS, or HR Operations
- Strong systems, data, and process mindset
- Experience supporting multi-state teams
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Operations, and Legal
- Experience in a high-growth startup or PE-backed environment
- HR automation or systems integration experience
- Project management and people analytics experience
- 98%+ payroll and benefits accuracy
