We are a software company that helps technical and non-technical stakeholders deliver strong software while respecting the craft of engineering. We provide a codebase scanning and technical due diligence service used by a large number of companies to assess code health and support decision-making for technology leadership and executive teams. We are now building a next-generation, AI-native SaaS product that connects to code and product workflow tools to keep roadmaps on track. We do not yet have a dedicated HR function. You would be building it.
What this role looks like:
Recruiting
- Own the full pipeline for engineering hires, from sourcing through offer
- Proactively find and engage senior engineering talent suited for an earlier-stage environment
- Manage relationships with external recruiting partners and vendors
- Maintain and optimize our applicant tracking system so it supports hiring instead of slowing it down
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and deliver a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience
People Operations
- Be the first point of contact for employee questions (benefits, policies, how things work)
- Build foundational HR systems and processes from scratch (onboarding, offboarding, handbook, performance cycles)
- Support a healthy remote-first culture across a distributed team
- Partner with finance on compensation and benefits planning
- Track and report key people metrics to ensure hiring and employee support are improving over time
Process Improvement
- Identify broken workflows and fix them quickly
- Implement tools (including AI-enabled tools) that save time and improve quality
- Diagnose funnel drop-off points and improve conversion without lowering the bar
What you need to be good at
Non-negotiable
- Experience recruiting in fast-moving software environments (startup experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to source engineers across multiple channels (LinkedIn, communities, networks, and beyond)
- Excellent written communication and candidate-facing professionalism
- Strong operational rigor and organization
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a growing company
Strong preference
- Experience with a modern ATS and the ability to implement or improve hiring workflows quickly
- Experience building HR and people operations processes from scratch
- Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work to improve speed and quality
