We are a boutique HR consulting firm providing hands-on support to small nonprofits and startups, specializing in organizations with 10–99 employees. Our clients typically do not have a fully staffed HR department and are often relying on Google or a single internal point person to handle HR and employee-related tasks.
These organizations are experiencing growing pains and need support building a solid HR foundation — including employee handbooks, policies, trainings, and compliant processes that actually work.
We partner closely with these teams to bring structure, clarity, and follow-through — and we are looking for an HR Operations Coordinator who thrives in this kind of execution-focused environment.
This role is 32 hours per week, fully remote.
💼 What You’ll Do
HR Operations & Execution (Core of the Role)
- Own and execute HR-related tasks across multiple clients based on defined action items and project plans
- Manage HR work from start through completion, ensuring accuracy and follow-through
- Support execution of HR initiatives including:
- Employee handbook and policy development and updates
- Onboarding and offboarding processes
- Compliance follow-ups and documentation
- Coordination of HR trainings
- Payroll-adjacent HR coordination
- Track progress, flag risks or blockers, and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate HR files, documentation, and HRIS records
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and sound judgment
Project & Workflow Management
- Manage tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across 8–15 active client engagements
- Keep client work organized in Asana, ensuring timely completion
- Proactively prioritize work across clients and shifting timelines
- Coordinate schedules, trainings, and logistics as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teammates and client stakeholders
Talent Acquisition Support (As Needed)
- Review inbound applications and support sourcing for select client roles
- Conduct phone and video screens
- Coordinate interviews and candidate communications
- Assist with job postings, offer letters, and hiring logistics
(Note: This role includes talent acquisition support but is not primarily a recruiting role.)
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, coordination, or project support
- (consulting or multi-client experience strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with a proven record of follow-through
- Ability to take ownership without needing step-by-step direction
- Comfort managing multiple priorities, systems, and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear communicator with sound judgment and strong attention to detail
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable raising questions early
- Experience with or willingness to learn:
- Google Workspace
- Asana
- Slack and Zoom
- HRIS platforms (ADP, Gusto, Rippling, TriNet)
- ATS tools and LinkedIn Recruiter

💰 Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $28–$30/hour (DOE)
- Schedule: Remote | 32 hours per week
- Monthly Stipend: Internet/phone reimbursement
- PTO: 1 week annually
