Job Description
Our client, an established player in the ecommerce space, is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their Customer Experience team. This role will focus on building intuitive, digital experiences while influencing technical decisions and direction.
This is a 1-year contract with potential for extension - fully remote across Canada. We've placed multiple profiles with this client and know them well.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain systems using technologies such as Elixir, Ruby, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kafka, and AWS.
- Produce high-quality, performant, and testable code that supports company-wide initiatives.
- Influence architectural and technical decisions that shape long-term system design.
- Mentor teammates through pair programming, code reviews, and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Deploy user-facing code to production environments.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, patterns, and approaches.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with Ruby on Rails.
- recent, handon experience with Elixir
- Hands-on experience with React, modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures (Kafka), database fundamentals, and GraphQL.
- A user-focused mindset with enthusiasm for solving real-world problems
- Experience in extracting or migrating microservices from a monolithic architecture an asset
