This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a HR Specialist in India.

In this role, you will act as a trusted HR partner supporting organizations as they build and manage globally distributed teams. You will operate at the intersection of compliance, employee experience, and international workforce management, with a strong focus on APAC and MEA regions. The position offers high ownership across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including complex employee relations cases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners in a remote-first, fast-growing environment. Your work will directly enable smooth global expansion and operational excellence. Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for onboarding, employee lifecycle events, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliant and positive employee experiences.
  • Advise clients on post-merger employee transfers, contract changes, and data migration to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and terminations, and draft legally compliant documentation.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and external HR and legal partners.
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce planning across multiple countries.
  • Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and cultural nuances across India, APAC, and MEA regions.
  • Review employment contracts, advise on employment law risks, and support performance management and compensation changes.
  • Act as a point of contact for immigration and mobility matters in coordination with global mobility teams.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and AI adoption to improve HR efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute to global HR initiatives, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of professional HR experience, ideally within EOR, PEO, or HRO environments.
  • Strong expertise in Indian labor laws, with solid working knowledge of employment regulations across APAC and MEA.
  • Proven experience supporting M&A activities, restructurings, and complex employee relations cases.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a consultative mindset.
  • High level of comfort with HR technology and tools such as HRIS platforms, ticketing systems, documentation tools, and collaboration software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or Business; advanced certifications or an MBA are a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, global, and fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
