Senior Enterprise Network Engineer
Location: Remote anywhere in the United States
Total compensation: up to 300k USD Total compensation
Work authorization: U.S. citizens or Green Card holders only
Our client is a fast-growing cloud infrastructure company focused on AI and ML workloads. The Enterprise Networking team owns office networks, enterprise VPN, and related infrastructure across more than 10 global offices.
The team is hiring the first Senior Enterprise Network Engineer in the U.S. You will own the enterprise networking scope for the U.S. region, including the initial setup of the U.S. office, and work closely with a Europe-based team to standardize architecture and operations globally.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise wired and wireless office networks in the U.S.
- Own enterprise VPN infrastructure connecting employees to internal systems, including capacity planning, resiliency, and continuous improvement
- Manage office networking components such as WiFi, printers, CCTV, and access control
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including cross-region incidents and root cause analysis
- Work with ISPs and vendors, lead escalations, and manage connectivity-related issues
- Design, deploy, and improve automation and monitoring using Python and Ansible-style tooling
- Operate and administer Linux-based systems supporting network services
Requirements
- Strong enterprise routing and switching knowledge, including TCP/IP fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with enterprise WiFi and VPN in large environments
- Experience working in organizations with 500+ employees
- Proven ability to work independently and own outcomes end to end
- Linux experience is required, including administering systems and running services
- Automation experience using Python and configuration management tools
- Familiarity with dynamic routing protocols
- Working knowledge of IPv6 is a plus
Since you will be the first hire for this team in the U.S., we are looking for a truly senior engineer with deep enterprise networking expertise and a strong ability to operate autonomously. As the team is expected to grow in the near future, technical lead or team lead aspirations are a strong plus.
