What You’ll Do● Run the Delivery Engine: Own sprint execution, delivery cadence, and operational flow for a core engineering team.
● Lead Agile Execution: Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies. Improve velocity, predictability, and delivery quality.
● Ship Reliable Releases: Plan releases, manage dependencies, and ensure clean handoffs through QA and deployment.
● Handle Incidents: Coordinate bugs, incidents, and escalations. Keep stakeholders informed. Drive root-cause fixes.
● Be the Bridge: Translate between engineering, product, and executives. Keep priorities clear and aligned.
● Build the Team: Coach developers, mentor junior leaders, and help scale engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities● Sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives
● Velocity, capacity, and delivery tracking
● Backlog grooming with Product
● Release planning and calendar ownership
● Jira and Jira Service Management ownership
● Incident triage, prioritization, and communication
● QA coordination and defect resolution
● Executive reporting on delivery, risks, and KPIs
● Process improvement across Agile, QA, and incident response
● Hiring support and onboarding for new team members
Success Metrics include: Sprint predictability, release timeliness, incident resolution time, defect recurrence, and team velocity trends.
What We’re Looking For● Experienced Operator: 7+ years in project management. 5+ years leading Agile software teams.
● Agile Expert: Deep Scrum and Kanban knowledge. Proven ability to improve team maturity.
● Systems Thinker: Comfortable managing dependencies, releases, and competing priorities.
● Strong Communicator: Clear with executives. Direct with teams. Calm during incidents.
● Tool Fluent: Expert in Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
● Team Builder: Has led 5–10+ person engineering teams and helped them perform better over time.
● Healthcare or SaaS Experience: Strong plus, especially in regulated environments.
● Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM II, A-CSM)
● PMP or equivalent
● Healthcare SaaS or regulated tech
● Incident management or ITIL workflows
● CI/CD and modern release practices
● Remote or distributed teams
● SAFe experience
● Base pay plus variable compensation tied to performance.
