Title: Workday Reporting Analyst
Location: Raleigh, NC
Compensation: $135,000 + Bonus + Full Relocation Package
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Reporting Analyst to own, optimize, and expand the organization’s reporting and analytics capabilities within Workday. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing Workday reports, dashboards, and data models across multiple HCM functional areas. The ideal candidate is experienced in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, EIBs, and data analysis, with the ability to translate business needs into accurate, actionable, and well-structured reporting solutions.
This role partners closely with HR, IT, Finance, and business leadership to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure high levels of data integrity, consistency, and usability across the Workday platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Reporting & AnalyticsBuild, enhance, and maintain advanced Workday reports—including matrix, composite, and trending reports—to support HR, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop and maintain Workday Calculated Fields to enable complex reporting logic.
Design and manage dashboards, scorecards, and analytics visualizations to support organizational insights.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all Workday reporting outputs.
Conduct regular data audits to validate accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and improve data cleanliness.
Support SOX, compliance, and internal audit needs by providing reporting artifacts, data extracts, and documentation as required.
Maintain thorough documentation for reporting logic, calculated fields, and data sources.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to understand reporting needs and develop custom solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical reporting specifications.
Provide insights and recommendations that enhance workforce planning, talent analytics, headcount tracking, and HR process optimization.
Evaluate Workday releases and new reporting features to identify opportunities for improvement.
Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and reporting validation activities.
Support data migration, EIB loads, and recurring data maintenance workflows.
Provide end-user support for reporting issues, data requests, access concerns, and report usage.
Analyze and resolve data or reporting errors; proactively identify enhancements.
Partner with IT and HRIS teams on integrations involving reporting data sources.
Bachelor’s degree in HRIS, Information Systems, Business, HR, or related field preferred.
3+ years of Workday experience, with hands-on expertise in:
Workday Report Writer
Advanced/Matrix/Composite reporting
Calculated Fields
Worksheets, Discovery Boards, Dashboards
Workday Prism (nice to have)
2+ years of HR/HRIS or data analytics experience, ideally in a complex enterprise environment.
Strong skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data cleansing).
Experience with Workday EIB templates and data loading preferred.
Strong understanding of Workday HCM data structures.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to explain technical reporting concepts to non-technical users.
Consulting experience is a plus.
Must be able to handle confidential HR data with discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
